Publications

The Western Pennsylvania offers these publications:

1. Cross & Flame is a monthly Conference publication delivered by mail to Western Pennsylvania United Methodist churches. The front of each Cross & Flame contains a short article on a topic pertinent to United Methodists across Western PA. The other side offers, by week, the Lectionary Bible readings, seasonal color for the paraments, and a prayer "circle" listing all churches and pastors in Western PA. Each church and many WPAUMC agencies and staff are featured over a three-year cycle in the prayer requests. Quantities are determined by each local church for distribution as a bulletin/newsletter insert or an addition to a mailbox or welcome table. 

2. e-news is a weekly, free electronic newsletter with small stories and links to news of interest to United Methodists in Western PA. To subscribe, send an e-mail to e-news@wpaumc.org.

3. InterLink  is the Conference's monthly newspaper published with the United Methodist Reporter of Dallas, TX. The eight pages of the paper carry Conference news. A  four-page center section of each paper carries denominational news prepared by the UM Reporter. Regular columns include:  The Journey Continues ..., Bishop Thomas J. Bickerton's column; Media Resource Corner; and Fund Your Faith by the United Methodist Foundation of Western PA. Other columns appear, too.
